I want to try a simple program but getting following error. I am using Eclipse Kelper and Tomcat 7.0. Tried a lot of things, but nothing is working for me.

Try this configuration or rename your config accordingly : I prefer to name the servlet as 'dispatcher' and it's context file as dispatcher-servlet.xml. It worked fine for me.

The Servlet.init() errors mainly occur due to mismatching of versions of the Jar files of your spring MVC, Check out all your libraries by right click on the project>properties>build path, and remove any mismatched jar release.
Servlet.init() 错误主要是由于 spring MVC 的 Jar 文件版本不匹配而发生的，通过右键单击项目>属性>构建路径检查所有库，并删除任何不匹配的 jar 版本。
Also delete the jar library from your lib folder. Build the project again and the run it.
