I was trying to write a couple of scripts that would do a couple of things:

2) This one was fun to figure out. It has room for optimization, but it gets the job done. The only parameter needed is a directory:

Here is my take on the answer:

The above will locate all Videos and Images. If you refer to @Adam's example, you can then capture the output from this into a for loop to generate the information you are looking for. It's best to put all this into a script. I include the tr '\n' '\0' at the end so that you can pipe the output to xargs with the -0 argument to simplify chaining this with other commands. if you are going to use the for loop wrapper solution, then the tr is not necessary (though having it eliminates the need to deal with special characters and quoting in file name)
