Spring-Boot application startup failed

I have created basic spring-boot application with tomcat container. After building jar using maven, I run it as java -jar mybootapp-1.0.0.jar. Then following error was occurred. Any way I using mvn spring-boot:runcommand to run the app, Its running nicely. But What is the reason for giving errors with normal jar file run.

Since the tomcat server is default container for spring boot application you don't need to specify the tomcat dependencies explicitly. I would recommend and strongly suggest you to use Spring Initializerto kick start with spring boot application.

You need to make the below changes in pom.xml file if you want to deploy the war in tomcat.
